Directions
Prep time: 1 hours
Total time: 1½ hours
Serves: 4 – 6
- Mix warm water and yeast in a stand mixer bowl and let sit for 2 minutes.
- Add flour and salt and, using the dough hook attachment, mix on low for 1 minute and then medium for 2 minutes. The dough will be a bit sticky.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap and then a towel. Set in a warm area and let stand for 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F with a tray or pizza stone inside to allow it to heat up.
- Divide dough into two balls. Lightly dust the counter with flour and then, using your hands, press dough from the middle to the edges, stretching each ball into a 12-inch shell.
- Build your pizzas on a tray or something you can easily slide off into the oven when you’re ready to cook. Divide toppings between the two shells, starting with dressing and then going down the toppings list.
- When ready to cook, carefully slide the oven rack out and slide pizza onto the tray or stone. Cook for 8 – 12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Take pizza out of oven and let sit for 2 minutes before cutting.
- Toss all salad ingredients in a bowl. Slice pizza into 6 – 8 pieces and garnish with fresh salad. Enjoy.
